Actor Richard Attenborough has died at 90

richard attenborough deathThe British actor and film director Richard Attenborough has sadly passed away at the age of 90. According to his son the popular actor died at lunchtime on Sunday.

Lord Attenborough was a leading British actor who went on to become a very successful director. His career spanned six decades and included such films as The Great Escape, Miracle of 34th Street and Jurassic Park.

As a director he won two Oscars for Gandhi, the 1982 biographical film about Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.

Attenborough had spent the past few years in a nursing home with his wife. 

He was the elder brother of popular naturalist David Attenborough. 

We cannot really express how sad this news has made us, Richard was an incredible actor and director and he will be sadly missed for a long time to come. An incredible man has been lost today.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Attenborough’s family and friends at this very sad time.

What’s your favourite Attenborough memory? For us it would be watching him in Jurassic Park as a small child.

  2. I got to work with Lord Attenborough in the 1980′s for a few weeks. He was a lovely even tempered director and alway the gentleman. May he rest in the peace he deserves. What an incredible talent he was for all to enjoy. God rest his soul.
